OREANDA-NEWS. There was no American actor Willie Garson, remembered by the audience for his roles in the TV series "Sex and the City" and "Friends". He was 57 years old.  The reasons for the actor's death are not disclosed.  The news was announced on Instagram by his adopted son Nathan Garson.

"Rest in peace, Dad, I'm so glad that you shared so many journeys with me and were able to achieve so much,"- Garson Jr. wrote.

The stars of the TV series "Sex and the City" paid tribute to the late Willie Garson, who starred with them in the series.

Kim Cattrall said the actor's death at the age of 57 was "a terribly sad loss for the SATC family."

Cattrall's former colleague Cynthia Nixon described the actor on Twitter as "a source of light, friendship and knowledge about show business."

Ben Stiller, Jason Alexander and other actors also published messages in which they remembered the actor. 

Willis Garson was born in 1964 in the town of Highland Park in New Jersey. As a young man, he studied theater at Wesleyan University and received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama. After graduation, Garson began acting in episodic roles in TV series of that time.

In "Sex and the City", the actor played the role of the friend of the main character Carrie Bradshaw Stanford Blatch. In "Friends", he played Steve Ser, a neighbor of one of the main characters Ross Geller. In addition to these roles, Garson also starred in the TV series "White Collar", "Twin Peaks", "The X-Files", "C.S.I.:Crime Scene".
