OREANDA-NEWS Disney Studios is considering releasing the remake of The Great Mouse Detective. The original version of the project was released back in 1986.

According to media reports, the remake of the cartoon will partly turn out to be gaming, and it will also partially be animated using computer graphics. Insiders do not provide any other details, and there have been no official comments from Disney about plans to release a remake of The Great Mouse Detective, so the information may not be more than rumors.

The cartoon was created based on the works of children's author Yves Titus. The story tells about the talented detective Basil, who can solve any crime. The hero is approached by a girl whose father has disappeared, and then he undertakes an investigation to help him reach Professor Ratigan, who wants to seize power.
