OREANDA-NEWS Miss USA 2019 Chesley Crist crashed to her death after falling from the window of a 60-storey building in New York City. This was reported by The New York Post, citing law enforcement sources. The girl was in her 30s.

According to sources, Crist fell out a window of the 60-story Orion building in Midtown Manhattan, New York, on the morning of January 30. She lived on the ninth floor of the building, but was last seen on the terrace on the 29th floor.

Her death has been confirmed by her family. "We are deeply saddened to inform you of the death of our beloved Chelsea. She radiated a bright light that imbued others around the world with her beauty and strength. She shone, loved and laughed,"- the girl's family said in an official statement.

Extra TV, where the girl worked as a presenter, also expressed its condolences on Twitter.

Shortly before her death, the model posted a post on her Instagram page with the caption: "May this day bring you peace".

Chesley Crist became Miss North Carolina in 2002 and won the Miss USA title 17 years later. In recent years, Crist worked as a lawyer and TV presenter. In October 2019, she spoke at a World Mental Health Day event and revealed that she was undergoing psychotherapy.
