OREANDA-NEWS. The 5th Interregional Music and Poetic Festival “Handshake of the Republics” has opened in Tatarstan. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Culture of the region.

Events within the framework of the festival are held from 2 to 4 November in full-time and remote formats. The participants will be poets, writers, literary and musical critics, as well as cultural and art workers from the republics of the Volga region.

As the ministry explained, round tables are being held in the region for three days. In particular, one of them is timed to celebrate the 230th anniversary of the birth of the Russian writer, literary critic and public figure Sergei Aksakov - the event will be held at the Pushkin Cultural Center in Kazan. In addition, everyone can visit thematic excursions and creative evenings.

Organizers of the Festival: Russian National-Cultural Association of the Republic of Tatarstan, Cultural Center named after A.S. Pushkin, Kazan Poetic Theater "Dialogue" with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Festival "Handshake of the Republics" was first held in Tatarstan in 2016. Its main task is to develop and strengthen interregional ties to popularize literary and musical creativity, intercultural dialogue, support and promote talented youth.
