OREANDA-NEWS. The IX Theater Olympiad, which began on June 15 in St. Petersburg, started in Tokyo.

Starting August 23, the theater program itself will be presented on the stage of the Tadashi Suzuki Theater Center, founded in 1966 in the city of Toga (Toyama Prefecture).  Outstanding theater directors from around the world - Robert Wilson, Oskaras Korshunovas, Theodoros Terzopoulos, Valery Fokin, Yaroslav Fret and others - will bring their performances there.

“This is not the first year that Russian-Japanese cultural cooperation has been set at a high level, and we jointly support it with honor,” said Russian Deputy Minister of Culture Pavel Stepanov at the ceremony.
