OREANDA-NEWSThe Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova believes that cinemas will be able to return to a comfortable operating mode when Rospotrebnadzor establishes 70% occupancy of halls, and 100% occupancy of cinemas occurs mainly only during "premiere" weeks.

She recalled that the restrictions on the occupancy of the halls are determined by the regional departments of Rospotrebnadzor, depending on the sanitary and epidemiological situation. Where the percentage of cases of COVID-19 is not very high, the occupancy rate can be 70%.

"If we have in most regions the occupancy rate from 50 to 70% in the hall, then this will already allow us to exist comfortably, the main thing is that there is a sufficient number of premieres that will interest the audience," Lyubimova said.

She also added that the industry will have to figure out and puzzle over how to get the audience back to the halls.

"People are not yet keen on the cinema, we have to understand what this is connected with - only with covid or with traditional August - you know, this is not the best month. Now everyone will return home, as a rule, rental figures tend to go up when the children return In this situation, we need to limit the number of visitors, a difficult year is ahead, there are no illusions, "the minister said in conclusion.
