OREANDA-NEWS. On Wednesday, the Ivanovo region took the baton of the All-Russian Theater Marathon, which started in January in Vladivostok.  The baton from the Vladimir Academic Drama Theater took the Ivanovo Puppet Theater.

Tours of the Vladimir Drama Theater opened the play "Natasha's Dream" based on a play by Yaroslava Pulinovich.  For this work the young playwright received the award "Debut".  There are two more productions ahead: “Hamlet’s Dreams”, a modern monodrama based on Shakespeare’s tragedy, and a poetic play “Hands that are Not Needed” dedicated to Marina Tsvetaeva.

The All-Russian Theater Marathon is the largest event of the Year of the Theater, in which all 85 regions of Russia participate.  It started in January in Vladivostok and will end at the end of the year in Kaliningrad.  The marathon takes place in the form of a theater relay: regional theaters go on tour and pass on a special symbol of the marathon to the next theater participant.
