OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2016. The Indiana University Foundation Board of Directors has appointed two new active members, Kim Pressman, (B.S. ’78) and Curt Ferguson (B.S. ’80).

The IU Foundation Board of Directors works to steward and support Indiana University’s fundraising goals while serving as the legal governing body for the IU Foundation. This group of experienced leaders dedicates its collective time and talent to secure a strong future for Indiana University.

“I am truly delighted to welcome Kim and Curt to the board,” IU Foundation President Dan Smith said. “They both bring exemplary skill in business, finance and leadership that will, in turn, contribute to the success, diversity and relevance of our board well into the future.”

About Kim Pressman

For more than 20 years, Pressman worked for Price Communications Corp. until its liquidation in 2007. She then retired from her position as the corporation’s executive vice president and chief financial officer. Before her position at Price Communications, she worked for Corinthian Broadcasting Corp. and the International Paper Co.

Today, she is chair of the board for Kula for Karma, a nonprofit organization that provides yoga, meditation and stress reduction training to individuals in need. She is also a member and co-chair of the campaign committee for the IU Foundation Women’s Philanthropy Leadership Council.

About Curt Ferguson

Ferguson began his career with Coca-Cola in Atlanta in 1983. Since then, he has occupied numerous leadership roles around the world, including his time as senior regional director for the Coca-Cola Co.’s Western African region and president of the company’s North and West Africa business unit. He currently serves as president of Coca-Cola’s Middle East and North Africa business unit.

In September 2016, Ferguson will transition to Shanghai, China, as the president for Coca-Cola’s China and Korea region. He is an active member of various Indiana University leadership groups, including the Institute for International Business Advisory Board, the Kelley School of Business Global Dean’s Council and the IU Alumni Association, among others.

Ferguson has pioneered the innovative MENA Scholars Program -- a partnership between the Kelley School of Business, Coca-Cola’s Export Corporation of Dubai, and the U.S. Department of State. Each year, the Kelley School welcomes 100 Middle Eastern and North African scholars to IU for a business boot camp as part of the program, which is overseen by the school’s Institute for International Business.
