OREANDA-NEWS In Pskov, archaeologists during excavations of the courtyard of the Pogankinsky Chambers discovered a refrigerator of the 17th century model. This was reported to the Pskov information agency in the press service of the Pskov-Izborsk Museum-Reserve.

During the excavations, archaeologists found traces of laying a window opening, indicating that in ancient times it was used as a small door to the outside. Since the exit was from the cookery, archaeologists believe that the design was used to store food at low temperatures. “It was a refrigerator of the 17th century model,” experts said.

In future the find will be museumified as an addition to the future exposition of the “cookery”, which, according to archaeologists, will help to learn more about the life of the ancestors.
