OREANDA-NEWS. In the next two years in the British town of Coventry a special roadway will be laid. Passing through this road electric cars will be able to charge their batteries. This is reported by Life.ru with reference to the Daily Star. “It works by laying a small wireless charger under the asphalt,” the publication says. According to the newspaper, it is already planned to start the first tests within the specified time, and the car for them will be provided by the world auto giant Toyota.

At the same time, skeptical experts fear that the novelty will be prohibitively expensive, difficult to implement and unsuitable for all types of transport. In particular, there are questions about how this will work with trucks and buses, because they need a lot of power.
