A Meteorite Fell and Exploded in Cuba

OREANDA-NEWS The fall and explosion of the cosmic body occurred on the evening of Friday, March 19, in the area of the city of Moa in the eastern part of Cuba. This information is reported by the foreign publication Cubadebate.
The phenomenon was recorded by the seismological station at 22:06 local time (05:06 Moscow time). According to eyewitnesses, flashes of red and white were visible in the sky, after which a violent explosion was heard.
The head of the National Seismological Survey, Enrique Arango Arias, confirmed that, preliminary, we are talking about a meteorite fall. The equipment of the seismological service recorded the shock wave, but the sensors showed that it was not a ground explosion.
