OREANDA-NEWS Prices for commercial drones in Russia have risen by more than 30% since the end of February, Kommersant writes, citing sources.

Prices for drones in Russia increased more than 30% from the end of February and in some segments there was a threefold growth. This was due to the stoppage of drone sales in Russia by China's DJI, which occupied about 90% of the market, the source said.

Market participants pointed out that prices for drones in the enterprise segment (they are used in the oil and gas and energy industries, in search operations and other operations) increased threefold. At the same time, the structure of brands and the range on the domestic market have not changed. Experts added that at the end of the year there may be problems with how to charge the drones, as there are difficulties with the supply of batteries.

At the end of July last year, the Rostec State Corporation's website reported that drones were planned to be involved in mail delivery in Chukotka.
