OREANDA-NEWS. The International Forum "Creative Industries of the Arctic Region" opened on Wednesday in Murmansk and will last until November 30. According to Murmansk Arctic State University (MASU), which organized the event, the Russian media said that almost 1,000 people, including more than 50 experts from Russian regions and six foreign countries, will become its participants.

The forum on the Arctic creative industries - intellectual fields of activity, primarily socio-cultural - is being held in Murmansk for the third time. "The purpose of the forum is to search for growth points of creative industries in the Arctic region. In total, nearly 1,000 people will take part in various events over the four days of the forum", the university said.

The forum participants will discuss the creation of open spaces in Arctic cities, support for small businesses, including in creative industries, the development of Arctic tourism, creative and cultural industries, and will pay particular attention to the Arctic specifics of urban studies. They are waiting for plenary sessions and discussions, master classes, discussion platforms and creative meetings at various venues in Murmansk.
