OREANDA-NEWSRussian companies aren't in a hurry to transform and use the latest technology in their business models, a poll by consulting partners Strategy Partners showed. The survey involved leaders and top managers of a hundred manufacturing companies.

91% of Russian companies use an aging business model, and only 4% have a digital transformation strategy. Russian companies are inferior to companies in developed countries in terms of introducing digital technologies. So, in Russia, only 17% of companies are actively involved in e-procurement, while in OECD countries - 48%. Electronic sales as a tool are used by 13% of Russian enterprises, in OECD countries - 22%. Most companies are in the early stages of digital transformation. 48% of respondents noted its importance, but only 4% have a strategy on how to do this. 17% don't consider transformation as a priority for business development.

Companies cite a lack of knowledge of technology; Moreover, 26% of respondents do not understand how innovations can contribute to business development. At the same time, the authors of the study believe that the transition to a new business model is inevitable, and for those who are not in a hurry to transform in the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution that has begun, “the risks of completely losing business are high”.

Respondents said that they consider it important for state participation in the transformation of the business environment: 
  • 35% of respondents consider it necessary to create specialized educational programs;
  • 17% - to increase the efficiency of public procurement in the field of innovative technologies;
  • another 17% to reduce trade barriers in the field of international technologies.
These and related tasks are part of the national project "Digital Economy", which was adopted at the end of last year.
