OREANDA-NEWS A year after vaccination with the first component of the «Sputnik V» coronavirus vaccine, the majority of people who took part in the research had a high level of antibodies. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova on February 17.

She explained that they decided to continue studying the drug in December 2021 to confirm its safety and efficacy within a year after a person received the first component.

"The first results of the analysis of the level of antibodies show the presence of a sufficiently high level of specific IgG antibodies to the coronavirus S-protein in all vaccinated volunteers after vaccination at the time of the additional study," Rakov was quoted by «Izvestia».

By today, the results are known in 1323 subjects, 80% of them had an antibody titer equal to more than 200 BAU units. The deputy mayor stressed that this indicator is considered high.

In total, three thousand people took part in the study, who were injected with a vaccine, not a placebo.

Earlier it became known that scientists of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor have developed a technology that allows detecting coronavirus at the earliest stages. "The invention relates to the field of genetic engineering and biotechnology and is based on the use of new means: RNA guide molecules that can be used in CRISPR-Cas14 systems as part of ribonucleoprotein complexes for the ultra-sensitive detection of SARS-CoV-2 virus RNA," the ministry said.
