OREANDA-NEWSThe German energy company Kaiserwetter Energy Asset Management introduced the Aristoteles cloud-based data analysis platform, which can simulate the operation of wind farms and predict possible disruptions, Windpower Engineering reported.

The new platform, developed jointly with SAP, uses predictive analytics and machine learning to process complex and unstructured technical, financial and meteorological data into information accessible to investors. Thus, interested companies can obtain operational data on the possible risks and economic feasibility of the project when making investment decisions.

Platform capabilities were demonstrated earlier this month by Kaiserwetter CEO Hanno Shoklich and SAP CEO Marcus Noga at the SAP TechEd event in Barcelona. Both companies are currently working on expanding the analytical capabilities of the platform and its adaptation for other energy industries, including solar, hydro and bioenergy.
