OREANDA-NEWS Microsoft has decided to close user accounts that have not been active for two years.

The corresponding innovation will be spelled out in the user agreement. Previously, accounts that had not been used for five years were subject to removal. Now this period has been reduced to two. It clarifies that the new rules will come into force on August 30.

Exceptions will affect accounts that bought Microsoft products or services, downloaded applications or games to Microsoft. Also, the company will not delete accounts that have a Microsoft certificate and if money remains on their account. Microsoft will not block accounts that confirmed the creation of accounts for minors.
