OREANDA-NEWS NASA named called the possible landing sites of the OSIRIS-REx probe, directed towards the asteroid Bennu. For several months, the device was next to the celestial body and took pictures of it.

Scientists note that the OSIRIS-REx landing trajectory was calculated so that there were no elevations or dust accumulations near the landing site. After the decline, the device will be able to work only a few earth days, which is why the choice of location for collecting material has become the main task of specialists.

According to NASA experts, the asteroid Bennu was much dirtier than they previously thought. Observations using the most modern telescopes could not fully convey the amount of space debris that fell on it.
