OREANDA-NEWS. A group of researchers at the University Hospital of Oslo, having studied the condition of three doctors who were admitted to the hospital after being vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine with thrombosis, came to the conclusion that the vaccine can cause a strong immune response, which can provoke increased blood clots with a reduced number of lymphocytes. This was reported by VG on Thursday.

Norwegian scientists say they have found the cause of an acute adverse reaction to the AstraZeneca vaccine in some patients. Earlier, three medical workers under 50 years old who did not have serious illnesses were admitted to the hospital. After inoculation with the drug, one of them died, the other two were found to have blood clots.

"Experts have hypothesized that the vaccine caused an unexpected immune response in sick employees, and this in turn provoked the formation of blood clots and a decrease in platelet levels," the publication reported, citing Professor Paul Andre Holme. According to Norwegian scientists, this is the most likely cause of side effects from the AstraZeneca vaccine. They claim to have identified specific antibodies in platelets that produce a pattern known in other fields of medicine, but caused by drugs.

According to the newspaper, 120 thousand Norwegians have already received the AstraZeneca vaccine, today several cases of adverse reactions are known, Norway has so far suspended the use of this drug.
