OREANDA-NEWS. The US Department of Defense is forming a group that will study cases of collisions of American military pilots with unidentified flying objects (UFOs). This was reported by sources of the television channel CNN at the Pentagon.

The official announcement of the formation of such a group is expected in the next few days. According to the channel’s interlocutors, the work of the group will be supervised by Deputy Defense Minister David Norquist.

Earlier, the US Navy studied UFOs, since airplanes and aircraft carriers were involved in many cases. The US military has been studying UFO sightings since the middle of the XX century.

CNN recalls that in July, concern over unidentified flying objects was expressed in the US Congress, and it was not ruled out that these objects may be of terrestrial origin and be means of reconnaissance launched by potential adversaries.
