OREANDA-NEWS. A Bundeswehr transport plane flew to New Delhi from the Wunstorf air base to deliver the first batch of components for an oxygen generator to India. The second military plane will leave for India on Thursday, May 6. The unit, which will be installed on site, turns the outside air into medical oxygen, which is filled with cylinders.

Last week, the German Air Force already delivered 120 ventilators to New Delhi, accompanied by specialists who will train local Red Cross staff to work with them.

In Germany, on Sunday, May 9, some restrictive measures may be lifted for residents of the country who have received a coronavirus vaccination, as well as for those who have suffered COVID-19. They will not need to present a negative test for SARS-CoV-2 when visiting hairdressers, non-food stores and other establishments. This was stated in an interview with the public-legal TV channel «ZDF» by the Minister of Health of Germany Jens Spahn.

According to the minister, this will happen if the relevant government resolution is approved by the Bundestag and the Bundesrat by May 7. Earlier it was reported, that India records new peak in coronavirus deaths in 24 hours.
