OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Orbital Service Station (ROSS) will be automatic and will be able to observe the entire planet. This was announced by the head of the state Corporation Dmitry Rogozin in his Telegram channel following a joint meeting of the Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) on Space and the Presidium of the Scientific and Technical Council of Roscosmos.

"We decided that the station will be automatic, the crew will participate in the delivery and installation of the payload, testing of promising space complexes, repair and replacement of spacecraft units," he said.

Rogozin admitted that the new station could be called NovoROSS. "By the way, why not call her Novorossiya?" the manager asked himself.

In May, TASS reported that Roscosmos and the Rocket and Space Corporation (RSC) Energia signed a contract to create a draft design of ROSS.

In April, Rogozin, in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel, said that the Russian government had made a decision on the future of the International Space Station (ISS) program, about which "in accordance with our obligations, we will warn our partners in a year."
