Russian Delegation to Visit Turkey to Assess COVID-19 Situation
The parties agreed to hold consultations between the Rospotrebnadzor and the responsible agencies of Turkey. It is specified that the delegation will include representatives of the competent executive authorities and the industry community.
As Golikova herself said, Turkey is considered one of the most popular destinations among Russian tourists, but the health of citizens is a priority for the authorities.
On May 17, it became known that Turkish diplomats headed by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the republic Mehmet Nuri Ersoy went to Russia for negotiations. It is noted that the purpose of the visit is to discuss the resumption of air traffic between the countries-Turkey will present the results of measures taken to combat the spread of coronavirus.
In April, Russia restricted air traffic with Turkey and closed its borders with Tanzania for a month and a half. At the same time, there are two flights a week between Moscow and Istanbul, which are served by Aeroflot (on Tuesdays and Fridays) and Turkish Airlines (on Mondays and Fridays).
