OREANDA-NEWS. Robbo, a manufacturer of robotics for education, one of the Skolkovo residents, has completed the registration of its division in Japan, the foundation’s press service said on Thursday.

"The Robbo company, a resident of the Skolkovo Foundation's IT cluster, completed the registration process for the Japanese division of Robbo Japan. It received an invitation from the Government of Japan to open a division in the country after winning the Fukuoka Startup Day technology project competition in May 2019", the message says.

The Japanese authorities contributed to the implementation of Robbo solutions in the educational system, ensuring the introduction of comprehensive engineering class programs in schools developed in schools in Russia in a test mode. At the same time, at the CEATEC-2019 exhibition of advanced technologies, which was held in Japan in October, a Skolkovo resident entered into preliminary agreements with local companies to supply them with Robbo products worth more than € 500 thousand in 2020.

The representative of the Russian developer of educational robotics was headed by former Toyota top manager Yasuo Ninomiya. The report notes that he worked for four years in Russia, where he headed the Moscow and then St. Petersburg representative office of the automobile concern. For the past 11 years, Yasuo Ninomiya has worked in Tokyo and New York.
