OREANDA-NEWS.German scientists conducted a study to find out which factors affect life expectancy. The experts concluded that the fundamental role played by the labor activity of a person before his retirement. Anyone who has been doing hard physical work for decades is aging faster than, for example, a middle-level official. Researchers at the Institute of Labor and Qualification at the University of Duisburg-Essen told about the impact of work on life expectancy in their scientific work. The analysis showed that stress at work and professional experience ultimately affect the state of health, and therefore affect the number of years a person can live.

The level of education also affects life expectancy. It is proved that people who have received higher education are more likely to occupy higher professional positions, have higher incomes, as well as acceptable working conditions. People who have experienced serious workload during their work die earlier.
