OREANDA-NEWS  The Belarusian authorities have banned the import of part of the products of the German cosmetics company Nivea, which refused to sponsor the World Ice Hockey Championship, which was to be held in Minsk and Riga. This information is reported by the BelTA agency with reference to the country's Ministry of Health.

The agency said in a statement that violations of the sanitary and epidemiological rules were identified. Violations were also revealed in documents certifying the quality and safety, non-observance of its expiration date and the absence on the part of business entities of production control in relation to the perfumery and cosmetic products sold.

It is also noted that importers have repeatedly violated the product labeling procedure in force on the territory of the Customs Union of Russia and Belarus.

The packaging allegedly did not contain details of the organization authorized by the manufacturer to receive complaints and claims. Also, the name of the product did not correspond to the ingredient composition.

The ban was not limited to Nivea. The Ministry of Health of Belarus has banned the import into the country of about three thousand units of perfumery and cosmetic products from different manufacturers.
