OREANDA-NEWS. Turkish medical centers will test the Tianox nitrogen monoxide production apparatus, created in Russia and used in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with complications after COVID-19. This was reported by the official publication of the Russian nuclear industry, the Strana Rosatom newspaper.

The publication writes that in mid-April, representatives of the Russian company Rosatom presented the capabilities of Tianoks to specialists from medical organizations in Turkey. They were told about the experience of using nitrogen monoxide generated by the device for thromboembolism and other forms of pulmonary hypertension, in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with complications after COVID-19, in the treatment of critical conditions in newborns and premature babies.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed that devices for clinical testing will be delivered to medical centers in Turkey.

The main advantage of "Tianox" is that it can be placed right next to the patient's bed. Usually nitrogen monoxide is made in factories and brought to clinics in high pressure cylinders, which is inconvenient. The device was developed by specialists from the Russian Federal Nuclear Center - All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics (RFNC-VNIIEF, Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod Region) and the Sarov branch of NRNU "MEPhI".
