According to experts, such effect is possible because the tomato juice contains lycopene pigment which is a powerful antioxidant. Experts have proven that the effect of lycopene is enhanced by vitamins A, C and E, which are also contained in tomatoes.

During the study volunteers were regularly drinking the juice from the tomatoes. After 4 weeks it was established that half of the participants decreased the level of cholesterol in the blood. In addition, volunteers decreased blood pressure.
