OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2010. The CIS observation mission which monitors the presidential election campaign in Belarus will open its offices in Gomel, Grodno and Mogilev Oblasts on October 27.

The mission includes 38 members. All in all, the mission plans to accredit almost 45 long-term observers from the CIS countries, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, members of the CIS diplomatic missions.

Long-term observers will visit territorial election commissions, meet with representatives of the initiative groups, voters and other participants of the election campaign.

The first results of the monitoring indicate that Belarus is creating all necessary legal and organizational conditions for smooth work of the observers. Executive bodies, participants of the election campaign are open to cooperation, provide all necessary information on the election process, the press service informed.
