OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2011. Secondary schools of Ganja city have connected to "Electronic school" system in Azerbaijan.

Education Ministry of Azerbaijan has reported that " Electronic school" pilot project which involved 20 secondary schools has been realized according to State Program on Informatization of Education System for 2008-12.

" This year it is planned to connect Shirvan and Lenkoran’s secondary schools to " Electronic school" project",- the Ministry source noted.

On the whole at present there have been created conditions for the use of electronic lessons system in 1000 schools of the country. Department of Informative Education System Management (TIMS) reports that information on 4.500 pupils and teachers has been included in data-center.

" Electronic school" project" also includes the program of electronic lessons management (AeL), electronic lessons ( SCORM standards) and national information education base (NED).

The project is of great significance in the terms of collection of statistical data on education sphere in a single data base as well as parents- school interrelations, increase of education level, school management and so on.
