OREANDA-NEWS. October 31, 2011. A large cargo plane with humanitarian cargo on board for citizens in the Van Province in south-eastern Turkey that has been recently struck by the destructive earthquake left the Ashgabat International Airport for the Republic of Turkey on October 29.

The Ministry of Textile Industry and the Turkmengallaonumleri Association sent textile goods and flour to the brotherly people of Turkey on the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan. A special plane of the Turkmenhowayollary State National Service flew on an important mission to the friendly country.

During the recent telephone conversation with President of Turkey Abdullah Gul the Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov offered immediate humanitarian help to the Turkish brothers in this difficult time. Thanking for offering help and sincere empathy, the Turkish leader expressed profound appreciation and gratitude to citizens of Turkmenistan for their compassion and empathy.

“A neighbour will help in an hour of need” – this popular wisdom fully reflect the generosity of the souls and loftiness of the Turkmen people who abiding by the traditions of humanism and mercy, which form the foundation of the mentality of the nation, have sent the needed assistance to the Turkish brother in such a difficult period.

The officials of the Erzurum Province of the Republic of Turkey who met the aircrafts with humanitarian aid from Ashgabat at the airport in Erzurum city expressed profound gratitude to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Turkmen people for this gesture of goodwill.
