OREANDA-NEWS. Baltika Breweries, part of the Carlsberg Group, is pleased to announce the winner-participant of YGP Talent Network program. The finalist is Evgeny Bezludny, a fourth-year student of The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration in Moscow.

Evgeny has chosen among 4 best candidates, who passed selection rounds in countries of the Carlsberg Group Eastern Europe region: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

The competition was held with the support of the Carlsberg Bequest, part of the Carlsberg Foundation. In Russia Baltika Breweries, part of the Carlsberg Group, organized it. Around 200 young people from 4 countries competed for a chance to become a part of YGP Talent Network. In the first selection round, they had to do several tasks, in the second – held an interview with Carlsberg Group representatives in their countries. As a result of the interviews were chosen 4 semi-finalists, who took part in the third round and were interviewed by Young Global Pioneers.

YGP Talent NetworkYGP Talent Network is an international project for future leaders from 19 to 25 years old. Its aim to unite the most talented young people all around the world, expand their horizons, raise the level of cross-cultural communication and teach them to think globally in order to find innovative solutions to world problems together.

This year, the YGP Talent Network program will begin with the educational tour to Tanzania and Zanzibar, held from July 23th till August 12th. Within three weeks, 20 peers from different parts of the world will unite to learn more about each other and develop an innovative look at the ways of solving world problems. Tour participants will learn about the culture, history, opportunities and challenges of the region, engage with local businesses and universities, meet up with young elite entrepreneurs, engage with youth from SOS Children’s Village, learn about circular economy and emotional intelligence, spend a day on safari, experience local art, music and customs and spend time with diverse young people from Tanzania and Zanzibar.

At the end of the tour, all participants will become a part of the global talents network, on the basis of which further education and strengthening of cross-cultural ties takes place. The participants are expected to engage in online networking and learning activities for years to come, including online Global Reflection seminars every three months.
