OREANDA-NEWS. CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. celebrated today the SUPPLIER’S DAY 2016, where the company announced the winners of the Mexican edition of INTEGRATE, CEMEX’s Suppliers Innovation Program. From a field of 28 suppliers, CEMEX recognized three winning ideas for their innovation and their contribution to the company, the communities where it operates, and the environment.

The ideas submitted for the Mexican edition of INTEGRATE—which mainly focused on providing more efficient processes, products, and services—were subjected to an evaluation and voting process directed by a group of 20 executives and experts from different areas of the company.

Additionally, 40 companies earned the OHSAS 18001:2008 Standard and were recognized as “Health and Safety Certified Suppliers.” This credential ensures these are ready to meet the highest standards of safety in both CEMEX’s operations and the rest of the world.

CEMEX presented the awards at a ceremony on Wednesday, October 12, in Monterrey, Mexico. The INTEGRATE Suppliers Innovation Program aims to strengthen collaboration between CEMEX and its suppliers by generating new and innovative ideas to enable the company to improve practices throughout its value chain, while supporting cost-reduction strategies in CEMEX’s operations. INTEGRATE is a global program that began in 2006 in Spain and England, and later expanded to other countries within CEMEX geographic network.
