OREANDA-NEWS. Ford Sollers plans to introduce the second shift at the production site in Yelabuga. For the start of the second shift at the Ford Sollers plant in Yelabuga and the filling of vacancies in other sites in Tatarstan, it is planned to hire more than 700 people by the end of the year. Recruitment is associated with the growth in sales of Ford cars in Russia and the growing demand for SUV and LCV models produced at the company's plant in Yelabuga. The second shift at the plant will be introduced in December of this year, for the first time since 2013. Mass recruitment of employees will begin in October, reports the press service of Ford Sollers. The bulk of new employees are workers who will be engaged in production at all stages, from welding and painting bodies to quality control.

Currently, in the enterprise in Yelabuga there is produced a crossover Ford Kuga, the flagship 7-seater SUV Ford Explorer and light commercial vehicles of the Ford Transit family. The introduction of the second shift will meet the growing demand for the plant's products in 2017-2018. The sales of cars produced in Yelabuga rose by 53% in 2017. Ford Kuga of new generation by the end of August became the best seller of the brand, by showing the sales growth of 102%. August also became the best month for the Ford Transit from 2014 (+ 99% by August 2016). The leader in sales growth in the model line of Ford is the Explorer - the sales of the SUV grew by 133% in August.
