OREANDA-NEWS. Yesterday ChelPipe Group and Gazprom have signed an updated R&D cooperation program effective until the end of 2020 at the Sixth St. Petersburg International Gas Forum. The document was signed by Aleksandr Grubman, General Director, ChelPipe Group, and Oleg Aksyutin, Management Board Member and Head of Gazprom Department in the presence of Aleksey Miller, Chairman of the Management Board, PAO Gazprom.

The R&D cooperation program is designed to provide solutions to satisfy future piping demand of Gazprom. The program scope provides for cooperation between the gas company and ChelPipe in five key areas: large-bore electric-welded pipes, casing pipes, tubing, fittings and valves. 

As per the program, ChelPipe Group will finish 20 plus jobs to put new products employing advanced technologies into production until the end of 2020. The Company will continue to develop second and third generation gas-tight threaded connections, heavy-duty corrosion-resistant piping, aggressive-medium-resistant special valves and connections.
