OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2016. Health Mart®, the largest independent pharmacy network with more than 4,700 locally owned community pharmacies across all 50 states, today announced that Health Mart was ranked highest overall in customer satisfaction with chain drug pharmacies across the U.S. in the J.D. Power 2016 Pharmacy Satisfaction StudySM. Results were announced on August 29 by J.D. Power. The study measures customer satisfaction with pharmacies in four segments: mail order, chain drug stores, supermarkets and mass merchandisers.

“Health Mart is focused on helping our pharmacies deliver a quality of care that is recognized by payers, prescribers and patients alike,” says Health Mart president, Steve Courtman. “Our J.D. Power recognition highlights the value Health Mart pharmacies bring to their communities and their ability to deliver personalized service and trusted advice that results in better health for their patients.”

The 2016 U.S. National Pharmacy Study is based on responses from nearly 15,000 pharmacy customers who filled a new prescription or refilled a prescription during the three months prior to the survey period of June 2016. Five key factors that contribute to customer satisfaction with pharmacies are examined: prescription ordering/pick up process, store, cost competitiveness, non-pharmacist staff and pharmacist. Health Mart’s customer satisfaction score was the highest at 898 (out of 1,000). Health Mart pharmacies performed particularly well in the store; non-pharmacists staff; cost competitiveness; and pharmacist categories.

“With strong patient relationships, Health Mart pharmacists provide the knowledge patients can trust to get the care they deserve — helping their patients achieve the best results from their medications, remain adherent and even get the vaccinations they need. The J.D. Power ranking continues to reinforce Health Mart’s commitment to helping independent pharmacies deliver better patient care, and solidifies our position as the industry leader in customer service and loyalty,” said Crystal Lennartz, chief pharmacist, Health Mart.
