OREANDA-NEWS Despite the promises of the management of JSC "GLONASS" and the authorities of Primorye in short terms to provide the Far Eastern region with coveted "buttons", the customs of the region remains clogged with second-hand cars from Japan.

Earlier "AUTOSTAT" already wrote that the installation equipment is not enough, the customs capacity is low and the queue moves slowly. And without customs documents, the owners of imported into the country foreign cars cannot get the passport of vehicles.

Today, not all vehicles that were imported after February 15th, 2017, received their passports. The document was not passed to about 9 thousand cars, reported the agency "Interfax", with the referring to the head of the Far Eastern Customs Administration, Yury Ladygin. First, there are delays in the delivery of buttons. Secondly, the customs of the Far East can work with 300-350 vehicles per a day and it will take "no more than 45 days" to unload the warehouses.

On June 26th, the official website of JSC GLONASS informed about the increase in the planned deliveries of the necessary installation equipment to the Far East and it published the already adjusted schedule. In accordance with it, during three summer months, the Far East will receive 25,900 sets of equipment: as a result, in June, 6864 sets were to be shipped, it was planned to send out 9236 sets in July, in August - 9800 sets.

Recall that from January 1st, 2017, the rules of foreign cars registering have changed in Russia - the installation of the ERA-GLONASS system became an indispensable condition. However, the regulation did not determine the order of the equipment by this system of second-hand or new cars that are imported into the Russian Federation. Currently, it was introduced a temporary order for the registration of used cars that are imported into the country.
