OREANDA-NEWS. August 30, 2016. Kaiser Permanente has been recognized by LATINA Style Magazine as one of the 50 best companies for Latinas to work for in the LATINA Style 50 Report. The LATINA Style 50 Report is a respected analysis of corporate America’s efforts to promote diversity and provide career advancement opportunities for Hispanic women.

After evaluating more than 800 companies throughout the nation, LATINA Style Magazine has ranked Kaiser Permanente No. 21 for the outstanding career advancement opportunities we provide to Hispanic women.

The report assesses companies in five major categories: 1) leadership programs, 2) training, 3) mentoring programs, 4) employee benefits and 5) representation of Latinas in senior positions.

“Kaiser Permanente is honored to once again be recognized in the 2016 Latina Style 50 report for providing exceptional opportunities for career advancement to our Latina employees and leaders,” said Ronald Copeland, MD, FACS, senior vice president and chief Diversity and Inclusion officer at Kaiser Permanente. “We remain committed to ensuring our workforce reflects the diverse members, patients, and communities we serve as part of our vision to achieve equity and inclusion for all.”

Kaiser Permanente has made the LATINA Style 50 Report four times since ranking No. 1 on the list in 2009. The 2016 results will be honored at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., next February and will be published in LATINA Style’s August special issue.

“I joined Kaiser Permanente in part because of the organization’s reputation for being committed to an inclusive and diverse workforce,” said Vanessa M. Benavides, senior vice president and chief compliance and privacy officer. “This recognition in the LATINA Style 50 Report confirms my personal experience that Kaiser Permanente lives up to its reputation of being one of the best places to work for Latinas in the United States.”

This accolade is just one of many Kaiser Permanente has earned for its commitment to diversity and inclusion in 2016. In July, Kaiser Permanente was named a ‘top-scoring company’ on the Disability Equality Index® (DEI®) for our disability inclusion policies and practices in the workplace. In April, Kaiser Permanente was ranked first on DiversityInc’s Top 50 Companies for Diversity® list.
