Metaldyne Performance Group, Inc.(NYSE: MPG), a leading provider of highly engineered components for use in powertrain and suspension applications for the global light, commercial and industrial vehicle markets, announced today that its joint venture in India, Metaldyne Industries Limited (“MPG MIL”), has been named the Cummins India ABO Supplier of the Year for 2016.

The award is presented to just one of the 700 suppliers to Cummins India (which includes 14 entities in the region) and recognizes a partner who is dependable and exemplifies excellence in all facets of the business. The award was presented to MPG MIL by Tim Millwood, vice president of global procurement and supply chain management for Cummins, and Mr. Anant Talaulicar, vice president of Cummins and chairman of the India Area Business Organization.

MPG MIL was launched in 2000 as a manufacturer of flywheel assemblies for commercial vehicles and a supplier of machined components to MPG plants in the United States. Over the last 16 years, the facility has grown to be the largest supplier of flywheel assemblies for commercial vehicles in India and expanded its product portfolio to include crankshaft rubber damper and balance shaft assemblies. Its customer base includes significant OEMs and large tier suppliers.
