OREANDA-NEWS. September 19, 2016. The Board of Directors of MSA (NYSE: MSA) has elected

Anne Herman, 54, to the position of Chief Customer Officer and Vice President of Global Quality. 

Ms. Herman began her career with MSA in 1984 as an assistant chemist.  Over her 32 years with the company, she has held a variety of positions within MSA's R&D, Quality, Standards Compliance, and Operations groups. From 2012 to 2015 Ms. Herman served as Director of Global Quality and, in that capacity, led the implementation of several new global processes that helped improve quality and the overall MSA customer experience. In October of last year, Ms. Herman was promoted to Chief Customer Officer and Executive Director of Global Quality.

A native of Pittsburgh, Ms. Herman earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Bucknell University and an MBA from Duquesne University.  She is also a member of the Graduate and Executive Programs Advisory Council (GEPAC) for the Palumbo Donahue School of Business at Duquesne University.  Ms. Herman sits on the Board of Directors of the YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.  In 2013, she was recognized by The Manufacturing Institute, Deloitte, the University of Phoenix, and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers with the Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Award
