OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2016. Meritor, Inc. (NYSE: MTOR) announced it has donated \\$5,000 to the American Red Cross to help with relief efforts in Denham Springs, Louisiana, which was hard-hit by devastating flooding in August.

The company made the contribution from the Meritor Trust Fund to help Denham Springs area residents recover from the flooding. An estimated 90 percent of homes and businesses were damaged in the southeast Louisiana town of 10,000 people.

The American Red Cross has been leading the relief efforts. It estimates the relief could cost up to \\$40 million, as its workers continue to help people recover from the disaster.
