OREANDA-NEWS. In April 2016, 15 MAN Lion’s Coaches made up the final instalment of a major order totalling 100 MAN and NEOPLAN vehicles purchased and received by Pamukkale Tourism, one of the top three travel companies in Turkey. Not content to stop there, Pamukkale is now pressing ahead with the expansion of its fleet. It has acquired a further 12 MAN Lion’s Coach EfficientLine vehicles fitted out to VIP standards, adding to the initial order of 22 NEOPLAN Tourliners and 78 MAN Lion’s Coach 2+1s, as well as a VIP bus. With the addition of these new buses, MAN vehicles now make up 90 per cent of the Pamukkale fleet.

“The fact that we have such a high proportion of MAN buses in our fleet is not only down to their impressive technology, comfort and service, but also – most importantly for us – because MAN places as much emphasis on the needs of its customers as we do,” explains Mustafa Özdalgıç, General Manager at Pamukkale Tourism, on receiving the vehicles. “At Pamukkale, our main objective is to be able to offer our customers the consistent service they’re looking, without compromising on quality. With this in mind, the MAN Lion’s Coach EfficientLine with 2+1 seating and VIP facilities is exactly what we’ve been looking for, with exceptional benefits that our passengers can enjoy as much as we do.” This includes the fact that the 12-metre buses with 2+1 seating can still accommodate 38 passengers with room to spare thanks to the new seat design which offers an extra 5 cm leg room.

This investment highlights Pamukkale Tourism’s continued growth, which mirrors the positive trends seen in the tourism industry in recent years. The company now has over 3500 employees and a fleet of 600 vehicles, and by the end of this year, an estimated 14 million passengers will have taken advantage of Pamukkale Tourism’s transport services.
