OREANDA-NEWS. Andrey Guryev, President of the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers and CEO of PhosAgro, one of the world’s largest phosphate-based fertilizer producers, will participate in the World Economic Forum’s 48th Annual Meeting on 23–26 January 2018 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.
The Russian government delegation to the World Economic Forum will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich. The World Economic Forum will bring together over 3,000 participants from more than 110 countries, including the leaders of a number of countries.
The key theme of the WEF 2018 Annual Meeting is “Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World” in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution affecting all areas of human activity.
PhosAgro CEO Andrey Guryev commented: “International companies like PhosAgro should work together for the sake of our common future. In our case, in addition to providing reliable fertilizer supplies to our priority Russian market, we use leading technologies to produce safe and pure fertilizers that help provide food for people all over the world.
In addition to this, important topics for PhosAgro include the development of the mining and mineral fertilizer industries in the context of the global economy. I also look forward to discussing forecasts for Russia and other key markets to which the Company supplies its pure and safe fertilizers.
“On top of that, we will discuss Industry 4.0, also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which continues to transform and reshape global industries, with digital technology, advanced data analytics and automation increasingly permeating more and more areas of the business landscape, including PhosAgro’s mining and processing operations.
“I also look forward to deliberations about mining capacity expansion through the use of advanced ‘green’ technologies, as well as practices focused on maximising the processing of waste materials to make the best use of finite natural resources and ensure environmental protection to drive sustainable production and agriculture,” said PhosAgro CEO Andrey Guryev.
