OREANDA-NEWS. Moscow – Andrey Guryev, President of the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers and CEO of PhosAgro, one of the world’s leading vertically integrated phosphate-based fertilizer producers, will take part in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (“WEF”) in Davos on 17-20 January.

The official Russian delegation in Davos this year will be led by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov. The WEF’s 2017 Annual Meeting will focus on the fourth industrial revolution, which involves the integration of innovative digital technologies into modern industry.

For PhosAgro, in addition to this overarching topic, important areas for discussion will include food security, global economic development scenarios, environmental protection, and the outlook for Russia.

PhosAgro CEO Andrey Guryev said: “In addition to our priority Russian market, PhosAgro supplies its environmentally pure products, including 33 grades of fertilizers, to 100 countries worldwide. We play an important role in global food security, and I look forward to discussing our successful experience in the context of development of the agricultural sector and food systems for the future.

“I am also particularly interested in panel discussions looking at the outlooks for Europe and Latin America, to which we export significant volumes of our product. We opened trading companies in Brazil two years ago, and last year in Switzerland, France, Germany and Poland.
