Platform Ventures has announced it has acquired the Pier 2620 Hotel project
OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2018. Platform Ventures, a Kansas City-based real estate private equity investment firm, has announced it has acquired the Pier 2620 Hotel project in downtown San Francisco. In connection with the purchase, it has entered into an agreement with a leading timeshare operator to convert the 233 room hotel into timeshare units. As part of the conversion, the hotel will undergo between $15 - $20 million of additional renovations.
Located at 2620 Jones Street, Pier 2620, which opened in 1974 and was recently renovated in 2015, sits in the North Waterfront District near the historic Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhood in downtown San Francisco. The area is known as a walker’s and rider’s paradise and benefits from world-class transportation, major tourist attractions and the Embarcadero/San Francisco Bay Trail, all within just a few minutes’ walk.
