Sales of Mercedes-Benz trucks increased by 40% in Russia in 2016
OREANDA-NEWS "Daimler KAMAZ Rus" company sold 2118 Mercedes-Benz trucks in Russia in 2016, which is more by 40% than a year ago. Turnover by spare parts Mercedes-Benz increased by 25%, informed the press service of "KAMAZ Daimler Rus".
Sales of Fuso Truck grew by 26% to 708 units. The turnover by Fuso spare parts grew by 14%. As a result, turnover of “DK Rus” increased by 34%, the profit (EbiT) – by 61%. It was reported by CFO "DK Rus", Oksana Karahova, by noting that despite the still difficult economic situation in the country, 2016 year was successful for the company: there were exceeded almost all major goals, set in terms of sales and after-sales service of freight cars Mercedes- Benz and Fuso.
More than 80% of all sold cars of Mercedes-Benz brand and 100% of brand Fuso were produced at the plant in Naberezhnye Chelny. According to Deputy Director General of "DK Rus" J?rgen Olberding, in 2016 the company produced 1752 trucks Mercedes-Benz and 390 Fuso units. Since March 1st 2017 the plant switches to two-shift work schedule.
In the last year it was started the construction of a new plant building in Naberezhnye Chelny – plant of cabins. The production start of new cabins is scheduled for 2019. The project area – is 59 600 sq.m, production capacity - is up to 55 thousand cabs per a year.
