OREANDA-NEWS. May 22, 2017. Ukraine and Israel are keen on deepening bipartite economic cooperation and engage in implementing of one of the priorities which is the signing of the Agreement on free trade area by the end of the year. Prime Ministers of the two States Volodymyr Groysman and Benjamin Netanyahu announced during their joint stakeout.

At the beginning of the bilateral meeting Volodymyr Groysman stressed on positive trends in the growth of trade turnover between the countries, facilitated in particular by the revitalization of activity of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, as well as by significant progress in the negotiations on the draft FTA Agreement achieved this year by the negotiation teams of the two countries.

In turn, Benjamin Netanyahu noted that Israel is interested in the acceleration of negotiations to establish Agreement on free trade area with Ukraine. "We want to speed up the negotiations on the establishment of the Free Trade Area Agreement, to develop commerce, trade, tourism, economic exchanges between our countries", he said.

Volodymyr Groysman informed the Israeli party about the Government's progress to improve the investment climate in Ukraine, in particular the establishment of the Investment Promotion Office UkraineInvest that providing support for investment projects, National Industry Development Committee the activities of which are aimed at restoring cooperation between industrial enterprises, and the Export Promotion Office and called on Israeli companies to invest in Ukraine. He also invited business representatives to participate in the privatization of state-owned enterprises of Ukraine, which is included into the essential priority agenda for the Government in 2017.
