OREANDA-NEWS. Volkswagen Group Rus exported 25,100 cars of Russian production in 2017 (+ 70%). It was reported to the agency "AUTOSTAT" by the press service of Volkswagen Group Rus, by noting that Central Europe became the main export market, to which there were delivered 15,600 crossovers of the Skoda Yeti. Another 9,500 cars were exported to the CIS countries.

Besides cars, the company successfully exports spare parts and components. For example, in 2017, Volkswagen Group Rus delivered 7,000 prefabricated cylinder blocks to the engine manufacturing plant in Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic. Recall that in January of 2018 Volkswagen Group Rus signed with the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation an agreement aimed at supporting exports. The updated regime of "processing in the customs territory" implies exemption from payment of customs duties on components used for the production of vehicles intended for export.

The first export project of Volkswagen Group Rus, implemented in this mode, will be the delivery in 2018 of the 1.6 MPI engines manufactured in Kaluga to the production sites around the world, including European ones. The planned volume of exported engines will be 40 thousand units per year. As the second export project, Volkswagen Group Rus will begin deliveries of Skoda Octavia cars manufactured in Nizhny Novgorod to the European Union with an initial capacity of 10,000 cars.
