OREANDA-NEWS. Sergey Ivanov, who was previously head of SOGAZ, has been appointed Senior Vice President of Sberbank. At Sberbank Mr Ivanov will oversee the Wealth Management Block, which includes the insurance and pensions businesses, asset management and a number of other areas.

"Sergey Ivanov is an effective top manager who had an excellent track record as head of SOGAZ insurance company. I am certain that his appointment will strengthen the Sberbank team and considerably enhance the operations of this block, which is vital to the bank," commented Herman Gref, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank.

Sergey Ivanov graduated from MGIMO with a major in Finance and Credit. In 2003-04 he worked at Gazprom, and from 2004-11 - at Gazprombank. In 2011 he was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of SOGAZ OJSC.
