OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2016. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with Advisor to the President of Ukraine, former Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Leszek Balcerowicz and Head of the Group of Advisers to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Slovakia Ivan Miklo. The talks were dedicated to the establishment of the Group of Strategic Advisors on the Support for Reforms in Ukraine.

In the meeting were also participating First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine/Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Cubiv, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze, and Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, in particular, noted that the newly set up Group of Strategic Advisers will enable "the development of a clear action plan and steps to ensure the speed and efficiency of reforms much expected by the Ukrainian citizens, and stable development as well".

According to him, the Group of Advisors will help to determine what reforms are to be held in the country to allow Ukraine transfer to a qualitatively new level. Volodymyr Groysman also stressed that among priority actions for the new Government is the restoring order at the Ukrainian customs.

The Head of Government highlighted that the Cabinet of Ministers in their activities would apply the experience of Poland and Slovakia, follow their success stories and take into account mistakes on the path of reforms.

Volodymyr Groysman also noted the importance of close collaboration of the Group of Advisers with the Ukrainian experts.

The Prime Minister singled out the importance to intensify the cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada to secure the effective implementation of reforms: "It is time to unite in support for Ukraine, support for the steps that will ensure success. Joint action of the President, the Government, the Verkhovna Rada will help to yield result in pursuing reforms," he urged.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko noted: “We have a principled stance - we will have one team that will reform Ukraine.”

In turn, Leszek Balcerowicz and Ivan Miklo emphasized that Ukraine had significant unused potential.

Ivan Miklo? noted that he had had a number of meetings with Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman in the recent weeks, which concerned various aspects of work of the Group of Strategic Advisers.

Leszek Balcerowicz highlighted that Ukraine needs to accelerate the process of reforms.

Ivan Miklo? and Leszek Balcerowicz expressed their will to see Ukrainian experts in the Group of Strategic Advisers.

Volodymyr Groysman noted that Ivan Miklo as the Head of the Group of Advisers "will lead all reform initiatives."

"I think together we can succeed", summed up the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
